Oregonians do not fear. Yesterday was bliss like above, today I didn't dare take out my phone to take pics. I was in driving wind and rain and 20 below yesterday .... All what was colorful and blue yesterday was gray and black and wet today ......

But starfish are returning.....albeit a slow rate. But spotted more than last year and some big fellas too.

Interesting analysis of the cold temperatures this winter from Cliff Mass: see http://cliffmass.blogspot.com/. He indicates that this has been the coldest winter in the PNW since 1985. I've slowly seen signs of spring but this winter is stubborn!!

Another great day!!! Walking the Indian-Crescent- Cannon-Arcadia beaches. I could live here year round and fish the Nehalem-Miami-Wilson etc rivers and be a happy camper

Beautiful day on the North Coast today. Got up to 60, with a light breeze. Too many people for my tastes, but it was pleasant to be out in a t-shirt!

There is plenty of beaches in north Oregon that can be quite desolate. Yes it was warm both Friday and Sunday with little to no wind on the coast but man that was a gusty wet Saturday.

Sure if there's some magazine at the local market store promoting Montana fishing as I purchase some canned cat food to place in my crab pots and also if I get a break from casting some reverse spiders in the beautiful fishy estuaries. Or maybe I can read about Montana later over a cold beer and crab served in a white wine garlic butter broth.
