so Ellen went to a big fabric store...i usually tag along...great scissors there and threads and craft stuff...better than fly shop prices...we all know that deal...Anyway found some clearance thread...this is fuseable...wind and use ase always but when high iron heat is applied for a few seconds it fuses together...mind is working on this but could use ideas...was thing though only white ...it could be fashioned into some interesting nymph bodies and colored with markers and an isolation "varnish ala zapagap or head cements...etc...done a bunch of those traditionally but never useing a fuseable thread....any ideas? It's called Charlottes Fuseable Web...I know ...Ugh! that name...but it has potential...

Interesting. Sounds like it has potential. No problem for me if that's the only color available. I find myself using white thread almost exclusively since I can color it whatever I like with Sharpies or Prismacolor pens.

I was thinking of using a soldering pencil as the heat source...that is one idea...Instead of tying in barbil stems or other material for applendages...I suppose I could wrap and over lap extending loops for body details...fuse etc...BTW Silverfly...did or have you caught Marks retirement Sale at the Greased Line?... Big savings...I gave Mark a retirement gift...since I have known him 35 years-ish...
