Garcia Matic 1430 Question

Hi, I'm looking to get a vintage automatic fly reel to try out for some fun. I've found several 1960s Garcia-Matic 1430 automatic reels for sale at very reasonable prices, but one thing I can't determine is what size line they use. Doing my research, I found an old advert in a 1970 Field and Stream. According to the below advertisement, they sell the same reel for four different weight rods. Hmmm. Anyone know what size line the 1430 generally takes? or does it not matter?

I don't think it matters, I have several....never fished them though. What weight rod are you putting it on? The spring is so powerful it'd suck a small fish through the guides!

HA! That's funny. I was thinking about a 7 or 8 wt, although I've heard that the autos don't have a lot of room for backing.
