Hi folks, hit a beach today and found a few rezzies but no cutts, have been running into some small black mouths in the 12" to 14" range and wham this guy hit my squimp and the fight was on. Biggest BM I've caught in awhile so was really excited, after a pretty lengthy battle (on my 5wt) I got him in and snapped a quick pic.
Guessing around 18" or 19" ? Thanks for looking!

That is awesome & I love just how much more power they have for a comparable size.

I fished with my dad yesterday and we ended up with a handful of SCR and a black-mouth each. They must have been in a small pod because we got hit at nearly the same time & ended up landing both in the same net. Ours were in the 14-16 range.
