JMills, Steve and Dustin, nice to see you guys at the show.
Dustin, a friend of mine showed up w/his vise at the booth on Sunday and used a bunch of that silicon tape to tie different flies... they turned out really great. Chronies and stone flies.
Let me know how you do if you get out fishin today.
Thanks for helping.

I was a little let down by the show. I was hoping it would be more than some booths trying to sell trips. And the casting pool was pretty much to see who could cast the longest ugliest cast for the most part. Remember a tailing loop is not what we are after. other than that it was cool to see the federation of fly fishers and tu out there. Would have been much cooler if I had 70 grand to spend on a boat.

I was only able to attend a couple of the talks in the fly fishing area, but were well wroth the time. I don't think the show/booth part was as good as last year (not as much fly fishing stuff. Did not have time to watch the fly tying, but usually top notch tiers.

sure, its just a really simple streamer using rabit/squireel strips.

tie in he tail and a wire rib at the bend, dub a body, lay the fur flat over the body and then tie it off. then u wrap the wire up making sure not to mat down any fur, then wrap the fur one turn at the head of the fly and finish.
