Green Lake, WTF

Wdfw planted, according to their website, 10,ooo fish in Green Lake about two weeks ago. Normally the fish are being caught all over the place with a pretty favorable rod per fish ratio. Here's the rub, I haven't seen anybody land any fish. I run the lake a lot, 2-4 times per week. Folks on docs, bait guys, canoe people- no one is catching fish. I have lapped the lake several times in the kayak as well and have scored nothing. The one hit my son and I had on Friday night was a legitimate holdover strike, middle of the lake, hard strike, heavily bowed rod, and off. Normally the cormorants and the ospreys are hunting the stocked zombies, even they are absent. Today I came across a series of ringforms in the slack water and figured I had found the hatchery slackers, but no, they were pairs of carp lurking. What gives? It doesn't take much to entice the hatchery mutts but this year.... nothing....

Not really Green Lake usually drops decent size dropping boys in the utopian fresh bodied waters of central rich homeowners pond of Seattle

this has been happening across the board. I have fished 3 other local lakes that were "stocked" recently. no one catching fish. tons of people out on these small bodies of water covering every Inch and no one getting anything. they are not stocking. that's all there is to it. fake stocking reports. don't trust them.
Clearly no one is fishing the boat launches :D

Decided to go salt instead, went north expecting 5 mph winds- nope- whitecaps...,turned around took a ferry, fished a wild place, though no fish, it helped to go someplace better...

Muckleshoots claimed "50%"
Probably not as tongue in cheek as intended.
There are a lot other possibilities.

They may have had unknown numbers taken at the hatchery by predators; conceivably this could also happen in the truck on the way to Green Lake. Or, if the counter was off, maybe they planted 5 instead of like, 5000.

I vote counter. But conceivably I could still get a limit.

Washington Lakes Reports, the hotbed of fishing intel for stocked plants and bait fishing, has zero reports for green lake in the last month. Normally a festival of fish pictures best captioned as "dead fish lying in gravel" is under the heading "Green Lake"

I live just a few blocks north of G-Lake and commute to work by bicycle, right along the north pathway. I've been gear fishing it the past two weeks on my way in to the office and also on my way home, and I've caught one little dink rainbow that came off my lure about 5ft from the dock near the crew house on the SW side. Most of the other people I've seen fishing have similar reports.
