Hello. That is one fine looking fly rod. I'm fortunate to own a 1994 Green River Enso (6wt, 9'). It's beautiful and arguably the best "fly fishing" rod that I've had the pleasure of using. I wished that the timing of your sale of your Jade 2 was 10 days earlier... as two weekends ago I ordered/bought a new 5wt Sunray Technique fly rod for close to the same price as what you are asking. I'm certain that the Sunray rod will keep me happy for years but I did want to acquire another Green River rod at some point. I just really love quality, craftsman-made, one-at-a-time items...guitars and fly rods in particular. My educator's salary prevents me from buying your Jade 2, but I do wish you well/success with your sale.

 

Hey Steve. Totally agree. I am fortunate to own a nice bamboo rod that Robert made for me years ago. Need to pare down so gonna stick with the cane rod and let this one go. This is a great rod for small to medium streams or even technical situations on larger streams.

 

I'm so tempted....but my salary comes via Federal Education grants (I'm the Academic Coordinator for UMaine's Upward Bound program). We were slated to be 100% defunded in the Big Not-So-Beautiful Bill, but got a 1-year reprieve at the last minute. I need to switch into "what if" mode. Again, good luck with you sale, as I know the eventual buyer is getting a fantastic, functional piece of art.

PS) I bought the Enso for $150 from the original owner. Luck/good karma was on my side that day.
