thread - Danville 6/0 black
tail - Australian possum tail black/golden pheasant tippets
body - chenille yellow
wing - woodduck flank dyed olive (1tbsp Rit Golden Yellow, 1tsp Rit Dark Green, 1 cup water)
collar - aftershaft black
mash barb, start thread, wrap to bend
measure (shank length) some possum tail; tie in
tie in some gp tippets (1/2 tail length)
tie in chenille; wrap forward (leave about 2 eye widths free). Tie off/trim
tie in (folded) woodduck by tip; stroke fibers back and wrap, tie off/trim
create thread loop
prep aftershaft; insert in loop, spin
moisten fingers, stroke fibers back
wrap, tie off/trim, whip finish, SHHAN
