Just wondering if anyone out there has been able to take advantage of this beautiful weather and hit any lakes.

I wasn't out fishing, but I was on Lake Sammamish yesterday, and midges the size of B-52 bombers were all over some equipment we had on the lake. I now know how how those trout get so big in Sammamish. I mean seriously, these were size 8-10 midges. I didn't see any rising, as we had work to do.

But with the lack of steelies, I think I will be hitting open lakes this weekend.

Thanks for the reply, I was hoping with this warm weather that there may be some chironomid hatches happening, lets hope the weather holds out..

Planned on being deathly ill Friday and trying a dose of Lone Lake for a remedy. Anyone else tried this cure recently? I figure if I don't get any better there is always the emergency room at Pass.
