I had the pleasure of fishing with Jim on Sunday. We fished what will remain undisclosed waters.
It didn't take long, the first piece of water he layed a fly on in fact, He hooked up. Me being 40 yrds. away could only see the action from afar. The cutt tore up the pool. Masterfully Old Man brouhgt the brute to the beach, slipped the hook and let it go. Pic's would be included but his concern about clean handling and quick release didn't give me a chance to take a picture. But I will say it was an artful display of flyfishing and it went on all day long. The Man practices what he preaches!
Here's to you Jim, a guttsy display of fishing and thanks for the lesson. I hope when I get where you are I can do the same!
With total respect and admiration,

Bob,

I don't know anything about loose teeth. Further more it is probably not even appropriate on this clean and wholesome site! At times I wonder where peoples heads are at! When is your next short story coming out by the way?

WetLine,
Shame on you. Jim has spent a lot of effort convincing us that all he does is not catch fish, loafs on the bank and suffers the slings and arrows of MacRowdy and others. Now you're trying to tell us that he catches fish, doesn't bite a chunk off like a sea lion but sends it on it's way. Do you realize what you're doing to his reputation?

I've met Jim, and he's a wonderful man to talk to. Can tell he'd be excellent to fish with. Glad you had a great time.

You've got that right! I've had the pleasure of fishing with Jim a couple of times over the past month and had a great time!

BTW if you need to figure out how to access a river, lake, beaver pond, or puddle that might hold some fish he will probably have been there and at least wet a line. He's worked hard for the info and comes armed with maps at the ready!!

Thanks Jim!

Dave,
Don't be so hard on me as I'm only carrying on a bit of guff that Jim can more than handle on his own.
Head's under my hat, I think, but I'm not sure at times.
Getting bored with my stories: they are all starting to sound like the same to me. Bob goes out, gets screwed somehow, and comes home all beat up. Unfortunately, that's just about what happens. Fiction is often the truth. But thanks for asking. Seems as if I have one fan anyway.

I forgot what I was supposed to remember.

Alright enough is enough. Quit trying to make me out to be nice guy. :p . It's taken me a long time to get my image and you are all trying to break it down. I've got a few secrets so lets leave it that way. Close to 2000 huh.

Bob,

I know Jim can probably handle about anything thrown at him. I was just being facetious. Jim is a mentally tough guy. Probably the only thing that throws him is being nice lol! He is a flyfisher of the old school, gentelman first and fisher second! He is probably blushing as he reads this, lol! He would probably rather here what an old fart he is and ornery to boot. He isn't a very good navigator either! He didn't remind me that if I backed up to turn around it would be a quarter of a mile before the wide spot to make the turn. He just kept saying that there was a wide spot up just ahead before I started backing up.

I told you where to go but you thought you knew better.Lol But we did find a lot of places to go when ever the water drops. I guess that is what exploring is all about. You fish a little then you drive a little more and then you stop and fish again. This way you don't have to take anybodys advice on where to go.

Hey Jim!

We haven't been on the water together for quite awhile, either you've changed a considerable amount OR you're getting better at fooling these younger guys you've been fishing with lately! lol...but seriously...I look forward to our next trip, which may be a while because I'm just starting a new job. Glad to hear you finally caught a fish though! lol..lol:7 Sorry I wasn't there to see it! lol...lol:eek

This is a trick???

Whats this all about?? Jim, did you pay Dave to try and correct your image :dunno :rofl ??

Kiddin...if Jim was over on this side of the world I know who my fishin partner would be....the guys a pro and a wealth of knowledge (granted sometimes its bad knowledge or forgotten knowledge, but its still knowledge none the less). I think Jim needs to have Bob write a book about his fishing voyages (cause Jim cant write or type :p )....:thumb

Thanks for all them kind words. I don't know what to say anymore. So I'll go back to being a bad guy. I know what pw stands for and it's not his init.:smokin
Got to get off this stupid computer and get out to do some fish chasing or I won't get done what I planned to do today. Just one more thing. I missed your remarks and I thought that maybe your wife cut you off on this computer time thing.

Is good to see you are still around.I see you had a write up about fishing for Searun's . I emailed you but didn't get any answer. I always wanted to do that but don't feel like going by myself.

Pw. I used that rod today out and about. It sure casts nice and I can toss a ton of line out with it. It don't matter what is on it a dry or a heavy WB it gets it out there.
