Big hole has been good salmon flies should be about done. Clark canyon and the beaverhead have both been very good..
Hey Montana guys
Have any of you fished the big hole or beaverhead lately? How is the fishing? I might be slow at work this week and thinking about going fishing for a few days. Trying to decide if I should make the 6 hour drive.

My buddy was on the Big Hole last Thursday and Friday. Saw and fished salmon flies but was not stellar. They caught fish though. It has been busy.
Well I decided I'm gonna go. I talked to a couple fly shops and both said the fishing has been good on both rivers.
Regardless of the reports, this is a good decision.Well I decided I'm gonna go.
If you don't go, I'll guarantee you won't catch anything. Howz that?

I would go up higher on the Big Hole. It's still running pretty high.
Big Hole getting hammered these days.

The Beaverhead is running like a dirt river at the moment. We have had a lot of rain lately. Dirtied up these rivers.. I live 5 minutes from the Beaverhead and about 20 miles from the Big Hole. And Blacktail Deer Creek runs about 50 feet from my front door. It's dirty also.

Heading up to my favorite little lake this afternoon for a go at some dollies. The Kings are running and the annual Ketchikan King Salmon derby the past couple of weekends has the docks crowded. I had my fill of dragging gear around for kings when I lived here.
