Well, little old foolish me went out for a trip up to the Lower Stilly today, and found it flowing chocolate milk. The upper river is no better. The Snohomish and its tribs are only slightly better, but all the rivers are running higher than we have seen in a good long while, so I expect that there are fish moving up right now.

The big question is when to hit it? Midweek, or next weekend?

We bailed on a planned trip to the Stilly this weekend because of the river level and knew it would be chocolaty (is that a word?) after the rain. Forecast this week is for rain, rain, and more rain....although it's nice right now! So you might not get your heart set on heading up there for awhile.

If you want to fish the Stilly. I would advise you to fish the South Fork above Gold basin camp ground. There is a clay slide opposite the camp ground that leeches all year long. Usually above there it is somewhat clear.
