I see Hill's Discount flies as a sponsor. Has anyone ordered from them? Are the flies any good? They look good on the website, but I have ordered off the internet before and was quite disappointed.

Just bought a bunch of stuff for an upcoming trip to the Missouri. I tie about 90% of my own flies, so I generally don't buy a lot of flies. I needed a Father's Day present for my dad and some small flies for me, so I pulled the trigger. The flies are good quality. There are some things I would change if I were tying, but overall I was pleased. The flies are pretty well proportioned and the eyes are accessible. Hard to beat the prices. I would order from them again.

+1 on all of the above. I tie most of my flies, but when it gets down to #10 and below ..... I'm just too old for that stuff (Major case of Tendinitis/Arthritis? in both hands doesn't help). Been ordering from Hill's for years and (save for one small batch) all were top drawer (sorry for the bad pun). Called them on the one set (out of several I'd ordered - for context that was several years ago) and the replacements were in my mail box three days later. No questions asked.

I have resupplied my fly boxes with Hills flies for many years now and have not been disappointed. I also stop in and chat with the Hills folks at the old Bellevue fly show and Puyallup show to give them feed back and see what the up and coming flies will be for the next season. One issue I run into now and again is not every fly I want is available is the correct size/color, but overall, I think the quality for price paid can't be matched. JR.

The BWO Cripple they sell is the killer fly for the Yakima...at least most of the year.
