Saw this in my 'local' paper. Just as well they don't have Orca's or great whites in the Firth of Forth, could have been less awesome. Still sort of cool. Anyone had this happen to them in the Sound?

While I've had more than a few encounters with seals and sea-lions during my time both working and recreating on PS, I've never had one try to hitch a ride.

OTOH, here's an example of a seal doing exactly that in order to save his little fur-bag hide!

Not a kayak but a surfboard. My son an a few other guys and I were setting outside on a small surf day, when a young seal crawled up on the nose of my board, and was sunning himself. Funny part of it was when a kayaker paddled by the seal jump off my board and watch the kayaker tell he got quit far away. Once the seal felt the kayak was far enough away it jump back on my board.
