Hosting Members?

1508 Views 16 Replies 14 Participants Last post by  Jim Wallace
@Swimmy and other members have been willing to host other members from around the state, the country and the world for that matter.

@Chris Scoones I wonder if we could have a sticky on a thread that allows members to offer hosting and for members to look for hosting? This would be beyond just open seat threads.

Any blond Swedish flyfisher women who want to catch a redfish can stay with me.

As I've voiced elsewhere I think this is a very generous gesture from people.. and support Ira's post.

I may take Pat lat up on this. My beach game is weak, very weak, as in feeble and not able to fend for itself.

During normal years the Hansville Inn is always open for WFFers. Quite a few have taken average of it in the past. Nothing fancy but clean and dry.

This summer I have it down in Westport but it will be back home this fall and is always available for use

Though I'd never use it, this is a great idea Ira!
I'm a pretty easy guy to work a jetsled ride up the Deschutes out of.

When the season gets ripping(which is soon), I sometimes need fresh names to obtain boaters passes. Even if I don't like you, I will tolerate you for the trip upriver anyway.....

That's nice but will you guarantee a return trip out?

Nothing in life is guaranteed unfortunately.

Including that I will actually make it out without sinking the boat........

We're trying to stay away from permanent stickies. They actually clog up forum. Why I only do a temporary sticky for my PHWFF stuff and pull it.

Maybe start a sub forum, but again some of those don't fare well. Possibly could do a trade a trip/member hosting sub forum.
How about it just taking a while to build a relationship with folks, and then move on to fishing, and then using their homes/boats/keg/whatever?

If anyone here ventures to E. Idaho I'll happily make a seat open in my drift boat. Just shoot me a PM.

St Marys Georgia is next door to Naval Sub Base Kings Bay. Don't know if any WFFers are navy nukes, but if you are stationed at NSB Bangor and pull TDY to Kings Bay, let me know. Got extra kayaks and gear if you'd like to catch a redfish

If Nick's accommodations in Westport get too crowded, my yard is available for camping, after I mow the grass. I'm hoping that the strong NW winds forecast for Fri and Sat will blow all the mosquitoes out of here.;) The ocean sea surface temps near shore seem to be falling. Was back down to 54 F at Grays Harbor buoy this morning. My bike ride this evening was in a fine mist, temp in the low 60's, and the wind seemed to be from more out of the NNW than the NW or WNW.
My driveways are safe for sleeping in your rig, too. (The cops won't roust you in the wee small hours and tell you can't camp on the street, like they do up in Westport). Its a 2 night max, though. I have a couple of level areas on my lawn, if you need to pitch a tent.
Twin Harbors State Park is less than 2 miles to the North of me, and Grayland Beach State Park is about 2 miles to the South of me.
