I was on the Deschutes last week for three days. First day the water temp was 72 degrees. The dam released water from the bottom on the second day and the temp dropped to 64 and on the third day, 62 degrees. That's not very good for the steelhead and fishing was poor to non-existant. The runs are stalled in the lower river and in the Columbia waiting for cooler temps.

If somebody does hook one of the wild fish (that may be in) the river at 72 degrees... you might as well just throw in an onion and some carrots... cause with any fight at all, that fish is stew. Stone dead stew-meat.

First the (PUD's, Tribe, Irrigation, others) build dams and f--k up the river.
Now those same people are trying to unf--k up the river and the sport fishers are complaining?
Does anyone want some cheese and crackers with their whine?
