I know, I know. Another bullshit post.

I just wanted to know how we all see things around here. The reason I ask is, I always log on to new posts. That way I see the latest posts first. Down side is that sometimes things get past me. Always amazed that there is this much traffic on a fly fishing site.

If your trying to say, get the word out about a event that is coming up soon, the post can be off of the first page in minutes. But if you log onto that subforum it isn't moved much.

I go to the fly fishing forum when I log on. I see what is new by the bold type on each thread. After that I just play around on the others. I might come here once a day or several times a day. Nothing is written in stone.
I like to prepare a fine meal...lamb or the like. Afterwards I draw a bath, pour a glass of red, put on a little spa jazz or Air Supply, and finally break out the tronz.

Once I'm on, I first work through my hundreds of alerts. I feel I owe it to my fans to be prompt in my responses. Then I will usually just peruse general discussion. I do not do the new post thing as I don't really care what someone is posting in the classifieds, salt, stillwater, etc. Actually I'm pretty much just interested in seeing what garbage Spud found on the river.

I repeat several times through the day.

I just bumble the fuk around the site, without purpose or plan, looking at posts that strike my fancy....avoiding posts by swimmy or pudfly like the plague. :)

There's posts and threads I don't see as I have a few of the junk posting youngsters on the ignore list.

You should try a little Warren Zevon while you're setting up the glass of red, don't bother with the air supply or the tronz, they wont' help.

Just my opinion but it works for me, sometimes.

Warren Zevon is on my ignore list. Not sure why, maybe its just the name.

And this whole time I thought we were making progress...
Scan and read or scan and leave.
My favorite one to hit is "Mark forums Read". I read a little and then hit that button.

No aperitif? What are you, a caveman?
This place is like group therapy. Some of you make me feel like I am very sane. Some of you make me feel very sorry for you. Either way I feel better when I leave here. As Warren Zevon would say, "I'm just an excitable boy". Mems.
WTF is this thread? Did they (Tribes and WDFW realize closing salmon fishing in the PS and other main waters to all fishing was going to extend the WFF cabin fever threads?

Inbox, Alerts, Reported Content, New Posts.

Attention gravitate to things started by those that have caused a bit of workload. Usually that proves unnecessary. Sometimes it proves to be necessary.

I like it when there is a lot of reading to do and little or less reason to have to start conversations or otherwise ask people WTF they are thinking. Generally an amazing group.

new posts. unless I want to see if I've gotten any likes on a recent, clever, post.

Porter, what prompted this was the rod raffle for PHW. I was wondering if it was getting overlooked because of a pattern.

When I open the site, I do so in the new posts. If no one has made a post on the thread I don't see it. This even applies to stickies.
