Don and I "sallied forth" for a trip up the Icicle to a spot we both know; water's very nice for wet wading; 58 degrees, clear and very manageable, with mostly caddis sneaking around. I did find some stonefly shucks lying about, and even two little snakes-a rubber boa and some nondescript striped thing. Not a striped racer, though. Fishing wasn't bad, with frequent topwater strikes. The trick here is to use a big, bushy stimmie so the little fry can't get their mouths around the hook! Exactly where we went, well....bonne chance, mes braves!!
