Hey Gents. I am starting to sniff around for a mid sized female gun dog. Not looking for a pup. Need a one that is a good home dog as well as in the field and boat. She needs to good on the lead and house broken. Any suggestions?

Welcome Ryan, your post leaves a few questions like what type of dog, pointer, flusher? retriever...? What type of hunting do you do? etc?

With answers to these you might look for local breeders that have started dogs. Expect to pay a good price though, they have some time and effort involved in such a dog.
