I am sitting here in London and couldn't sleep, so I came up with this crazy idea. I have guided for nearly 3 decades with most of it being in Alaska and Argentina. I am a dry fly addict and am always pushing the envelope and perfecting techniques to raise very large trout and steelhead on small dries. I am looking to exchange an amazing fly fishing experience that could include one of the following:
1. Instructing and helping you land steelheads on dries (skated and dead drift)
2. Personally guiding you on remote rivers in Alaska and catching very large rainbows on dries
3. Guiding you in Argentina for large browns and bows on dries in remote unexplored areas
4. A combination of the above

For a similar trip anywhere in the world or even a special local area that peaks my interest. Even one day exchanges would be considered. The exact details of the exchange would be agreed upon including mutual respect and confidentiality for information shared. The last time I offered this I guided a Colorado guy for a week with my float plane in Alaska and he guided me in Belize in his sailboat for 2 weeks. Currently, I split my time between Washington and Alaska. I have a flexible schedule and an easy guy to get along with. If you have always dreamed about this experience and don't feel you have something similar to offer perhaps we could exchange something else. I need a new roof! Looking forward to hearing back and I encourage you to share other ideas that might work.

JC,
Thanks for your response and I can help make your dreams come true just let me know what you need. I had a Cessna 172 on floats. I would love to get another one. I wish you the best on your quests.

Muknuk, I don't have much to offer you but I salvaged this email from my junkmail. It's from someone named Anita Molamba and with a little legwork, she may be able to help you get your Cessna back. Good luck, Boot.

Here's the address:

[email protected]

Here's the situation:

I am Anita the only child of Mr. Abbas S. Molamba a licensed solid mineral
(gold, diamond, etc) exporter before he passed away. My father apparently
married a woman who became my stepmother because my mother died when i was very
young.

My stepmother already had two daughters of about my age, and they came with her
to live in my Father's house. I discovered that there was some ill-feeling from
my stepmother towards me, since then i have been badly treated; being forced to
undertake work befitting only a servant, in my father's own house.

When my father died instead of being in the state of mourns as custom demand,
she went as much as desired and claimed my father's property as well into the
future regarded as a possible danger to my live.

My father before passing away informed me privately that he had an account
valued nine million, two hundred and ten thousand Euro ( € 9,210,000 ) which he
intend to transfer into his foreign associate's account for investment abroad ,
this money he acquired from the export contract he secured and executed under
the umbrella of the government.

Truly i don't know you but considering my situation and security, couple with an
uncontrollable crisis around the country, my live is no more protected here. I
confided on your assistance and write with every respect due to your good person
and ask that you assist me to get the money transfer to your bank account on my
behalf as my late father's foreign associate to your country for investment.

So please i want to know you better. I am willing to offer you Nine hundred and
twenty one thousand Euros ( € 921,000 ) for your assistance after the successful
transfer of this money for investment; I have plans to do investment in your
country, like real estate, industrial production or any other lucrative
investment you bring to my notice in your country.

Please if you are willing to assist me, indicate your interest by sending your
phone number & address so that I can communicate with you at any time.

I will be waiting for your response.
thanks
Anita

ive been doing fishing exchanges for the past few years . its a great way of meeting likeminded anglers with a sense of adventure . 2007 2008 was slovenia In 2009 I hooked up with a group of guys in finland. The whole wilderness experience four hundred miles north of the artic circle. 2011 was the return trip to Ireland, the salmon didnt oblige but the fins enjoyed the Guinness . This year its British Colombia with a return to Ireland in 2012. Any takers for a fishing swap in 2013?

There was a time when I could have offered sight fishing for trophy Carp (on the fly of course) within 10 minutes of John Wayne International Airport. Alas, the fish eaters found out about them, and wiped them out.
