I do not fish the river but I have been to the hatchery (the first one) and they showed me the different species they were rearing. They release some huge cutthroat into the system and Steelhead(or used to). Above the dam is a Kokanee hatchery and I think you can fish the lake there but better check the regs. I know guys do pretty wel on Chinook as well.
