My question is: just how many mushrooms did she eat (and what kind)?

Wolves don't like coyotes or dogs. The woman's dog is likely what held the wolf's attention. How and if the bear and the wolf interacted is anybody's guess. The woman's story is missing more than a few details.

The take home message of course that one should never venture into the woods for mushrooms, berries, or fishing without carrying a .454 Casul, the preferred handgun for wolf encounters.
I've been hunting morel mushrooms in Oregon's Blue Mountains and Cascades from the time I was old enough to walk through a forest and have never seen a wolf or a bear. Coyotes, deer and elk, but no bear or wolf. I do carry a handgun these days but it is out of fear of the two legged animals you can encounter in the wild, not the ones that normally live there.
