I saw so much good water in Ireland. Wish I had more time to fish. I was there when the rivers had closed. This is at my B&B on the River Kings near Kells, Ireland.

You can just see the river, they had private rights for about 500' of it. There were Atlantic's still coming up and LOTS of browns feeding on eggs I'm assuming. I have an open invite next trip over to fish with owner.

Also had the town of Oughterard. Wild trout capital of Europe. It's on the way to Connemara from Galway. Whole town is pretty much fishing themed. Nice peaceful rivers. Wished I had planned to be there a month earlier so I could've fished the rivers.

He picked a lovely day for a toss...
and had a good blow.
And here I thought this was going to be about a new beer. Guess Ira will have to scratch this one from his list ;).

I like the name for a beer, maybe I'll brew one up and name it that. Thanks for the idea.
River Tane Brown?, Ira Scratch Ale?, Ira Brown Bobber?

Hmmm, somehow "Brown Bobber" doesn't sound like something I'd care to drink.

Just have a Beamish, better than whatever they would put in a "Brown Bomber"

Why do I suspect that was not the only beer you sampled... and what's with the BIG sample glasses?

Look up Perdigon flies.
Slim, smooth body, fast sinking nymphs.

Glad to see you didn't waste your time seeing the sights :D. This was my favorite beer and brewery. We had dinner there on the way back from Scarborough.

We only spent a couple days in Wales and England. Just long enough to take ferry over from Dublin and run east coast of England up to Edinburgh. Only had drinks in the pubs at night, so did plenty of sightseeing lol. Though some of this sights were distilleries.

One of my favorite beers is hard to find outside of London, almost impossible to find in the US. Fullers London Porter. You can find Fullers here, just not the porter. Next trip over we are focusing strictly on Wales, England, and mostly Scotland. No NI/ROI this trip. Plus I'll be scheduling a couple days fishing up in Speyside while I'm there.

Hate is a pretty strong word. Some of us dont need the aid of an indicator.:D:D
Are you the kettle or the pot?

Oh you poor soul you. I never called you out for using the word hate. The OP and most everyone else on here know me well enough to understand the tongue and cheek nature of my post. I honestly could give a crap how other people fish, I didn't say I hate the man for not using an indicator, no pot, not kettle. So no I am not the kettle or the pot. See how I answered your question? See how that works?

I also don't "need" the aid of an indicator, I just prefer to use one. I'm a visual person and for me the tug is not the drug, the indication of the indicator is. I understand the concept of personal preference, and I attempt to not judge others for the way that they enjoy the sport.
