I've search the threads on this topic, but haven't found much. Has anyone successfully floated it recently? Thinking that it will help offset the tweakers and get into some quality water. I've got a Alpine Bucks Bag that Im thinking of busting out for the float. Maybe Ravensdale to Maple Valley? Or Maple Valley to Carco.

I've rafted it, but I know its pretty skinny in places and can imagine that there would be alot of portaging and or climbing over obstacles.

Seems I read on here last year about the same question and if I remember, it didn't sound all that safe and fun. But I'm getting older and my memory sucks. Hope you get some good accurate info before going.

First nice day and the bikini hatch hits. Inner tubes and coolers all over the place. Dosen't mean it is smart or the fishing is any good but.... Well, you see where I'm going.

Yes the Cedar is totally floatable right now. Not a lot of logs to go round but a couple between Landsburg and Lower Jones Bridge/Golf Course. I float it in a 11 foot Puma self bailer with no problems until it gets below 200 cfs. A little dragging and some rock bouncing in the first mile below Hobart Issaquah Rd. but nothing problematic. The reservoir is full so the flows will directly reflect inflows to Chester Morse. I park my takeout vehicle at the old lower Jones Bridge site that is now a dead end. Never had any problems with tweakers or thefts. There are still some nice fish in the Cedar but nothing like it was in the first summer or even the second. Unfortunately, lots of backyard poaching goes on before/after work hours. Good luck and float safe!

a few kids were sent to the hospital a couple of weeks ago when they ran into a drowned tree over by the trailer park area. was told by a local who lives there after i saw an inflatable boat left all alone underneath said tree. i believe the tree was removed immediately afterwards. otherwise be careful.
