Jimmy Green Memorial Fly Fishing Fair and Casting Expo
Saturday, June 19, 10:00AM - 4:00PM
Lake Tye
14964 Fryelands Blvd., Monroe, WA

It's all free with great Pulled Pork Sandwiches and cole slaw by Jerry Daschovsky.

For more info, visit http://www.jimmygreenflyexpo.com/

For the second consecutive year, all the fly shops in the local Puget Sound area are presenting the Jimmy Green Memorial Fly Fishing Fair and Casting Expo. Named for the famed flyfisher who, besides pioneering modern flyfishing rods and lines, worked tirelessly to bring new people into the sport he loved.

At the Fair, families can meet and talk to the owners of your local fly shop; meet the local guides and outfitters who ply our waters; meet members of your nearest fly fishing clubs and organizations; learn to cast a flyrod; go to a Fly Fishing 101 class; learn to tie essential knots and what equipment you'll need; basic bugs and how to tie them; attend seminars on Puget Sound beach fishing; lake fishing; and river fly fishing. For those who are already into the sport, there will be "for fun" casting competitions for both single and two-handed rods.

Look for the free raffles at the participating fly shop booths.

Featured demos and speakers: Anil Srivastava; Michael Bennett; Dave McCoy; Mike Kinney; George Cook; Al Buhr; Ryan Smith; Jerry French; Leland Miyawaki; Dan McCrimmon

Also look for Tyler Kushnir coming down from BC and Poppy up from Redshed!

This is a great show designed for the new and beginning fly fisher, so bring all your friends!

Leland.

Come meet Al and see Al at the Jimmy Green Memorial Fly Fishing Fair and Casting Expo!

Mike Kinney at jimmy Green

One of our great assets here in the Northwest:

For 25+ years Mike Kinney has devoted his life to fishing and guiding for Trout and Salmon in Pacific Northwest rivers. He has been featured in Fly fishing Magazine (February, 1990) and in Trey Combs' latest book, Steelhead Fly Fishing: The Great Rivers (1991), His flies were featured in Kent Helvie's Steelhead Fly Fishing Manual (1994). His flies are also featured in two videos from Bennett/Watt Entertainment, Inc. c 1995 Hooked On Fly Tying Series titled, "Favorite Steelhead Flies with Mike Kinney" & "Marabou Steelhead Patterns the Guides Choice, with Mike Kinney." Mike was also featured on the Prime Sports Entertainment Network (Fox) "Fly fishing for Sea-Run Cutthroat," c 1990.

Mike's years on the rivers have given him great first-hand knowledge of fishing under a wide range of lake and river conditions. He has developed special flies, lines and techniques to match these conditions. He is considered one of the top contemporary teachers of fly fishing specializing in Spey and Single Handed Casting. His teaching abilities will enhance your wet and dry fly presentation techniques on lakes and rivers around the world, helping you to maximize your day on the water whether fishing for Trout, Salmon, or Steelhead.

Lelan and Kristin,

I would love to come and be a part of the festivities as an exhibitor. I left a message at All About The Fly to see about heading up there. Looks like a great time to be had and hope to be a part of it.
