It was not easy. However, we had already fished long days at Strobel and we were pretty tired at this point. When we got to the Irigoyen and they told us the program, I was a little bummed but they said we could walk down and fish the lower river if we wanted to. There were lots of robalo there and maybe sea trout. However, we got up at 7am, and usually did not eat dinner until 11 pm and got to bed around 1 am. The 1-2 hour siesta was welcome. It is all about that last 30 minutes before dark and you want to be in tip top shape for that.amazing but i have a question.....
how did you not go MAD having to take 5 hours a day off the water to nap and eat?????
if i ever can afford a trip like this, you can guarntee i want to fish all day every day, or at least be on the water all day. screw going back to the lodge to nap and eat at noon....
I get worn out fighting the wind...... but its scientifically impossible for me to nap even if super tired... i would have to go fish.thanks for the reply. it does sound like a long fun trip. I can imagine u do get wore out fighting huge fish all day for 2 weeks straight.
I totally agree. I could never pay good money for a trip where I couldn't fish all day. And all night for that matter. Stopping for naps, lunch breaks etc is just not me.amazing but i have a question.....

Rod, I hope I never grow up. I did try fishing your poppers one afternoon but they were not hitting anything on the surface. PhilPhil
What a great report! I want to grow up and be just like you..
