The heron feathers are legal to own and possess hear in Canada . They may be legal in the US as well , as they`re European birds , but I`m not sure. About a buck per feather .

OK , the fly is not tied very well . I kinda screwed up the head , and the wings could have been better . It`s tied on a Partridge Bartleet CS10/1 size 1/0 , which was the biggest hook I had on hand .

Brian, Nicely done. Better than anything I've been able to do. Yes it is illegal to use even European heron here is the states. I've started tying with rhea and blue eared pheasant.
