Hello, new to the forum and I apologise if i am posting in the wrong section.. anyhow..

My father has an old reel that belonged to my grandfather.. It has never been used, is in original box and has instruction sheet..

I was wondering if anyone could give me any information about it? The box reads

Kalamazoo
Miracle 1698

Automatic-Trout reel- Freee striping- Silent Wind

Any infor would be greatly apreciated.

THANKS!

Don't know anything about automatic reels and don't want to.
Sorry Preston, didn't think about that. The automatic didn't register. The guy who tought me to fly fish let me put his spare reel on my rod to use while he was teaching me. It was an automatic and what a pain that was.
