Kayak Trailer, Salt Safe

571 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Eyejuggler
Picking up a second Kayak this week and we are getting tired of schlepping the boat in back of the pickup or Van, so looking for a solid, 12" wheeled, galvanized trailer with options for cross bars. The pic below is kinda what I am looking for. Trailex, Salt King, or what ever as long as it fits the bill. Hoping someone has one they are not using.
Thanks for looking!

You have seen the Yakima trailer? A friend of mine has it and it is pretty slick. I am sure it is expensive....

Disregard, they are a couple thousand dollars! Wasted post

For what it's worth I have a trailer you could have if you're feeling crafty. It came with a 10' pram I bought years ago. It had an axle come off right as I was backing into my driveway after a trip to Lone and its sat in my yard since. It's not in too terrible of shape considering. Just needs that axle fixed. I've been told it wouldn't be a terribly hard fix I just haven't had any motivation to mess with it since I sold the pram.

Might not be what you're looking for but it's an option.

Thanks for the offer Nick Clayton! My motivation for involved projects is also low, ended up finding this on CL for 500 and popped for it. I need to add a few things but as a basic Kayak trailer, it should be fine. I just need to get to the State Patrol to get a vin for it.
