Just above Slide, right in the middle of the boulders there's a root ball with a log or two attached. There's no real easy way around it. Go to the left, tuck in your oars, do your best in the boils. You may hit the rocks with your boat and do cookies, but that's still better than getting caught in the logs. It's enough of a concern at 1050 cfs now, if it gets lower when the temps cool off, it will be a problem.

This is a place between Leidl and Stinson now that is hard to get over. It used to be a run full of chinook spawning, and a good place to find a steelhead a little farther downstream where the run went left against a cliff before making a left turn into the "Long Hole" along the Haul Road on the right. Now a big tongue of gravel has crept down into that run so there is no where to go. All the flow gets strained though this gravel bar, no way left or right. You have to get out and drag your boat quite a ways.
