A little foam to help it keep it's head above water.

hook - Dai Riki 135 #14
thread - MFC 8/0 sand
core - 10lb mono
body - 1mm foam tan
hackle - barred cream
wing - hen pheasant

put a loop in the end of the mono

mash barb, start thread; tie in mono at point above point

tie in foam strip (1/3 gap width)

hook loop onto the gallows, brush mono with Super Glue, wrap up the core (hook length), brush with more glue and wrap back to base; tie off/trim, trim mono

tie in hackle, wrap, tie off/trim; trim flat on top

prep a pair of hen pheasant feathers

tie in a bit long, pull forward to proper length (tips even with rear of body), fold stems back to create head, tie off

half hitch x 2, SHHAN, trim wing stems, trim hackle underneath

Regards,
Scott
