I broke my 8wt Diamondback Backwater out of pure stupidity (high sticking) on my 5th chum on 11/12. Sent it to Cortland in NY (they bought Diamondback in 1999) via UPS at 0920 11/13, Cortland received it 0940 11/15. Sat & Sun pass with no activity as I don't expect they work weekends; they shipped it back to me via Airborne Express on 11/18. Repaired rod was delivered at 1030 on 11/20 completing the round trip of 6,000 miles (WA-NY-WA)in almost exactly 7 days. Even though it was MY stupidity that caused the break as I explained to them in my note, no questions asked. SUPER customer service on Diamondback products from Cortland honoring Diamondback's lifetime warranty. Excellent moderately priced rod, great customer service and $10 shipping each way the only cost.
