Stopped by Lenice on the way back from a golf trip east... walked in- didn't bring a rod- saw three BIG cruisers from up on the rocks down right of where you walk in... a few rises here and there- no one was fishing- got me thinking- does anyone bother to fish it during the middle of summer?

Water gets too warm & fish get stressed . . . they get more stressed if forced to do battle. I won't fish it again until after cooler Fall temps have arrived.

iagree When the water temps hit 70, go to the pot holes and fish bass or go swimming. Wait for Fall. :thumb:

Cornbiscuit, good info here on the desert lakes in the summer. Do yourself some good and research this. Good of you to ask,as others will still fish these lakes when it's to warm and then wonder why they see floating belly up fish or why are the fish dead on the bottom.
