My wife, Diane, and I arrived at Les and Carol's house at 5PM. We all sat with a glass of wine and chatted by the fireplace. Les had a glass of fruit juice that wasn't fermented grapes. Les was in good form and talked about his visits the past couple weeks from fellow members, Bill Redman and Jim McFarland, Bob Young and Gene Gudger. Diane made Lasagne and brought some bread and Carol made a salad and dessert, Les' favorite Key Lime pie. We had a nice talk about cabulances vs access, spey rods vs single handers, Leland's shallowness vs Les' depth of knowledge and other disparate subjects. We left at 7. It was a great evening. Les is better every time I see him.
