Hate to burst your bubble but there will be no "fish of a certain species" trucked over the falls this year or next. New policy. PM me if you'd like. Let's leave it at that, please.
Correct me if I am wrong. But are you referring to the policy regarding the change which occurred last year in which only steelhead with an intact adipose fin will be shipped above Sunset Falls? So in other words, as of last year, all adipose fin clipped steelhead which are trapped in the Sunset Falls fish trap are now shipped to Reiter instead of being released above Sunset Falls. (I am only referring to steelhead. I know that other species are released above Sunset Falls.) Just curious?

Regards,

Andrew

I see that the latest hatchery escapement report (8/5) includes Sunset falls. It shows that a 188 steelhead were trapped of which 132 were shipped (assuming that they were wild) and 56 "shipped".

Looks like they didn''t start until this week; suspect the State delay operation for a couple weeks as a cost savings measures. Saw that 17 Chinook were also trapped (15 truck and 2 shipped to the hatchery) as well as 59 bull trout.

Tight lines
