Taqueria Santa Anna in Forks washington
Little hole in the wall but good and inexpensive. Avoid Plaza Jalisco across the street.
Next Door, gastropub in Port Angeles. Good burgers, fish tacos, brews. Good stop on your way coming or going from the West End.

In Montana,
Of course the Taco Bus in Dillon, lit up for Christmas in my avatar.
Calf-A in Dell. Local beef. Excellent. Close to Red Rock and Centiennial Valley.
Shovel and Spoon in Sheridan , breakfast and lunch
Willow Creek Cafe in Willow Creek. Only had their ribs, will be going back.
If you're ever in Pony, especially on Sunday afternoon, stop in for a beer, burger and Montana Rose playing guitar at the Pony Bar

Taco Cecy in Downtown Lewiston, cheap and very good
Tomato Brothers in Clarkston , a little upscale for dirtbag steelheaders, but Happy Hour is a good call, especially during the World Series

In and around Flathead Lake, Montana.

"The Sitting Duck" in Woods Bay...best Nachos ever.
"The Smokehouse" near Finley Point on the East Shore for great ribs.
"Finley Point Grill" for great steaks/chops and seafood. Pricey but worth it.
"Tamarack Brewery" in Lakeside on the West shore for burgers, sandwiches and beer.
"Pocket Stone" in Bigfork for an awesome breakfast, but bring an appetite because they don't mess around on portions.
"Ronan Cafe" in (obviously) Ronan for some of the best homemade mac-n-cheese and pie anywhere.
"Dudes Place" in Polson, should be opening this summer for great street tacos and artisan wood fired pizza.

Perhaps one of the more interesting places I have eaten is in Cody Wy. The Buffalo Bill Bar, or something like that. Had breakfast there which was pretty good but the bar itself was amazing. This is the bar that was owned by Bill Cody. Period photos hang on the walls, and the bar that Queen Victoria shipped to Bill after his tour of Europe with his Wild West Show. The bar is spectacular, as are the old photos.

It is difficult to describe but really something worth seeing.

Coming back to the wet side from a two week trip on Montana rivers, I found myself very hungry and a little road weary. Needing gas also, I pulled off in Ritzville on late Sunday evening. Half expecting to see the sidewalks neatly tucked away for the night, I see Perkins is still open and the p-lot nearly empty. While I am usually not fond of chain restaurants, I really didn't have much choice for a sit down meal.
Sipping a cup of coffee, I decided I needed more beef, even after spending quality time in Montana. So I order a nice rib eye, but went out on a limb and ordered a side of onion rings as an appetizer. Best decision I have made in a long time.
Out come a full dinner plate stacked high with golden brown juicy walla walla sweets fried up perfect. No dipping sauce required. Crunchy on the outside, sweet and succulent on the inside.
My steak came out while I was about halfway through the pile of goodness, and I think I only took a few bites of a very good steak and ordered doggy bag. While waiting for my card being processed, I finished every last morsel of rings.
Best road food encounter other than 2$ shots of Crown at the Silver Dollor in Ennis.
Nice.

Parkside Cafe in Easton. Naches to die for.

20 years ago my wife dined there after cross country skiing at lake Easton state park.

I stopped in there last fall on way home from Rocky Ford. Pleased to find same great service and excellent nachoes.

it is the campground store and restaurant with a turtle shell decor.

I can second the Sweet River Bakery in Pateros.

A few others:
Charlie's in Enumclaw for breakfast. I have never tried their lunch or dinner, but their breakfast is the best.

El Ranchito in Zillah

Ate at a great taco truck in Tonasket a couple of years ago. I don't remember the name of it, but I think it is the only one in town.

When ever I'm out and about fishing I never eat.. I might take a sandwich along, but never stop to eat. I did stop in Dubois ID. At a small Cafe. I had breakfast. It was more that I could ever eat.
I also stopped at a restaurant in Lima, Mt. Pretty good Hamburger. But other than these I don't stop to eat.
