Looking for advice as to a good source to purchase quality flies over the internet.

I am specifically looking to purchase some clouser minnows. Any advice would be appreciated.

Check the links and the sponsers listed on the home page, or any of the fly shops. Use your search on the internet there are many places, Bob
I've had very good experiences ordering from HillsDiscountFlies. Great selection, great prices, great service.

Try BlueFlyCafe.
hills discount flies is really, really tough to beat in my book
Another great one if you can't find anything at your local fly shop is Anglersdream.net
OK guys - it is time to suck it up and walk your talk. Everyone bemoans the closing of local fly shops and spends pages on this board as to why it is happening, what a shame it is, demographics, big box, blahblahblah.

Anyone else see the correlation here?
WFF home page, bottom right corner. There you will find a list of about a dozen sponsors. Of those at least nine sell flies via internet sales. They sponsor this site, why not support them if you are going to shop for flies on the net? Further, you can do a search of these sponsors in the forum and find threads where they are discussed and make your own choices. Best of luck.
+1 for Hill's. A+++

Those guys run a first-class operation.
I hope you will support first the sponsors of this forum and then other local fly shops in that order.

I do support my local fly shop. But this guy lives somewhere else that may not have such a luxury nearby, so I'm helping him out by pointing out a great business that also happens to sponsor this site.
I repeat look at the home page choose from the sponsors and links . does anybody realize that the first on the sponsor listing is Hills flies the next 5 or 6 are some of our faorite fly shops and here you are arguing about it, that's why I said it that way to start with. Bob
Give Bjorn a call at The Fly Fisher in Lacy. I think they are in the Shops tab.:beer2:
The Fly Stop--they're in PA, but the flies are high-quality, fast service, and the price is nice. But, I've been tying much more, so not relying on them as much. Kory is great for any order problems.

That is the way to go.
I started this post and just wanted to join in to let eneryone know that I live in a small Ontario town that has no local fly fishing shop. If there was a local shop i would support it. The nearest shop to me has to be 200 miles away. Therefore my only option is to purchase flies over the internet.
I hear you. But not all people look as to where a guy is posting from and try to send them to someplace in Washington. But I got a lot of flies from Hill's(a sponsor). Not only good service, but the flies were very good also. I got a shit pot of Caddis flies and a good fly box along with them. I'm still using the flies. And that was about ten years ago.

Would I buy from them again, yes I would. Besides you get on their mailing lists and you get a heads up on more deals.

Jim
