I was informed there is a large upcoming outdoor/fishing expo of some sort in seattle that draws alot of lodges from bc/alaska in. I am wanting to head over with a stack of 50 resumes or so, but for the life of me can't locate what exactly the show is and the dates it runs. If someone could inform me of the name of the show I would be very pleased. Thanks.

Seattle used to have two outdoor shows with one at Key Arena when it was the Coliseum and the International Sportsmen's Expo (ISE) at the Kingdome and later the Qwest Events Center. The Key Arena show moved to the Puyallup Fairgrounds a few years ago and is held at the end of January Washington Sportsmen's Show. The ISE moved to the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe but I believe it has been discontinued.

It this point in time you would do best to send your resumes directly to the lodges you are interested in. Many have already gotten seasonal commitments, but there are always openings this time of year. Dont wait for the shows, go for it now!

Bob, I was in at the PT fly shop and your name came up that you might have some info on lodges to avoid. If you could spare the time I would love to speak with you either via PM or via phone.

Also, did you go out fishing with (Paul?) from the Fort Flager herring research project yet? My father works out there and he word of mouth was that you would be going out togather to chase some sea runs I think. Paul was the one who brought the idea of the shows up to my Dad, who relayed it to me over the holidays. I will PM you.
