I took her out for one last swing yesterday and ceremoniously packed it up for sale. This setup is a killer scandi lazer gun and never had so many questions and conversations started as with this kit.
I met a Scottsman in the Margaree valley who had literally the exact same setup right down to the shooting head as the only rod on his roof rack, and he swore it was the best rod he ever used. I however am trying to afford my first Burkie, so its time to part ways.

The rod:

LOOP Opti Zpey 1st generation 12'0" 4-piece for 8/9 (27-33g)

Hauntingly beautiful metallic/translucent blue blanks with black and electric blue wraps. Guides, ferrules in perfect condition with nice labelled section markers.
Don't let the HD photos under bright light fool you, it makes each individual piece of dust look like something else: this rod is in immaculate condition, no scratches and barely the slightest wearing from putting the sections together.
This is the first generation with the pronounced "Z" handle, which really helps to keep your alignment in check to each firing position and then proper underhand power application. Stop high and let 'er fly! Composite cork is unsoiled and smooth like the day it was made.
Comes with original section sock and original "tube" or case with strap and handle.

The reel:

LOOP Opti SpeedRunner in Black.

Buttery smooth drag and fast line pickup, and looks good enough to command salmon to obey.
The reel is in absolutely perfect condition from all angles, except one small scratch on the drag knob shown in the picture. The other "marks" are just reflections in the photo as the rim, foot, handle and the signature "L" are all pristine.
Reel will come with the original LOOP pouch and box with manual and tool for LHR or RHR changes. Currently set for LHR. Also included is the matt yellow gelspun backing (200 yrds). I can also leave on the thin white coated LOOP shooting line, but the SA UST F/S1/S3 head on there in the pics is not included.

I've got tons of 8wt shooting heads in the bin if you want to combine some, just tell me what you like. This is a scandi rod however and I never lined a skagit on it.
I've also got a cheaper LOOP Xact 8/12 reel that could be paired with this setup instead of the speedrunner to keep the price down, but why would you put steel winter rims on your Mercedes?

Located in Quebec but can ship from NY as the case is wider than regular cylindrical tubes.

Looking for 800 U$D for the setup (zpey, speedrunner, backing and shooting line) via paypal.
And of course I'll include a salmon fly
