Title about says it all - vantage 5wt. Broke the rod earlier in the day, but lost a section of the rod on the hike out. damn my luck

That is to bad. Besides the accident how do (did) you like that rod? I think it is the best looking rod sage has put out for their entry level series. I was looking at them the other day and thought the quality of their components was a notch or two above their previous entry level rods. If it casts anything like their DS2's did it might be worth taking a practice run with one.

Yeah - the vantage is a nice rod. Hope I find that section someday or that Sage cuts me some slack in replacing it.

Jesse, have you had a chance to call them yet? I was in both Redington and Sage yesterday for some service related questions. Both sites were fantastic.
