Sorry you're not getting very many responses, I was hoping to find out a bit of up-to-date information on the Lyre myself. The last time I fished the Lyre (a long time ago, my father was still alive and fishing then, maybe twenty years ago) I took a small, wild steelhead just downstream of the little county (?) campground just below the bridge on Highway 112. If I remember correctly that was in early July. My only other trips to the Lyre have been in the winter and, since the river doesn't lend itself too well to flyfishing at that time of the year I haven't been back since I stopped fishing anything but flies, and that's been a while ago too. I understand that there are some hatchery summer-runs being stocked now, but I think that it would take a bit of exploring and, probably, a good deal of bushwhacking to find suitable places to wet a fly.
