was able to sneak out of work a couple hours early to get some casting practice on my new 8-wt echo ion-xl with galvan reel. Wind was heavy but that rod really shoots line!
Only saw a couple fish in the 2.5 hours I fished, way out of casting range. Didn't get any bites.
Wind topped out at 23 mph.
Mostly sunny, fished last couple hours of the incoming tide, mostly a chart/white clouser. Happy with the new stick
Looks like you found some blue sky; that's an accomplishment.
