Funny you should ask, my first one I put the wood to and kept it near the boat. And it didn't jump or put up much of a fight. My son let his run and it did back flip after back flip. Once I learned this I let them run. After they did some jumps I cranked them in. I don't think you want them green next to the boat. They do cool back flips. Mems.

You REALLY dont ever bring a green mako near the boat. Ive seen a few launch right into the boat. I hooked a 5 footer off the back of my dads sailboat, and even then..... that sucker launched itself up onto the swim step and chomped the ladder.
