FYI, took a walk down McAllister Creek near Oly just to check things out. Man, the seaweed/alge was all over, it would have been tough to toss flies with that stuff floating around. I followed the creek heading toward the sound and the seaweed cleared up but access was limited. I saw two or three jumpers but they were way small.

I have hooked sea-runs in McAllister Creek on an incoming tide by fishing the riffles in the upper stretch of the creek in the Southwest corner of the wildlife refuge. You head west from the parking lot until you intercept the creek and then you walk upstream. Know what you mean about the seaweed. When the tide is moving the creek fills up pretty fast. Casting and access is pretty thin as you move up the creek.
