Jeff, if there are more shops, reports, river data and such available from sources you know in MT why not bring them here by way of asking to have them added to the CONTENT area? Chris has really been building that area up and including lots of places and information sources from outside of WA. There have been a lot of remarkable contributions by the MT contingent here, information galore...and for me the fly tier who tied the fly that got my steelhead on the fly cherry popped. ed
That's a good idea Ed. I don't have any pertinent info to pass along right now, thus the wanting to "surf" a Montana based forum. I've fished MT a lot, but am by no means an authority on shops, river data, etc, on the area... Not even close. I hope that changes over the next few years, once I get over there!

WFF is such a great resource for Washington fly fishers. The salt section, general fly fishing, fly tying (though fly tying is pretty applicable across state lines, as long as we're not talking salt), etc, are killer. I'm just wondering if anyone has run across something similar for Montana. If not, no worries. I'll do it the old-fashioned way by talking with fly shops and just fishing.

Ed, I had never clicked on the content section. That would be a great place to get all of the local shops, river flow data, reports, etc, compiled. When I get over there I'll start compiling that data, for my own personal benefit, and pass that info along to Chris so he can add as he sees fit.
Now, I wonder if we could roll out a sub-forum for MT fly fishing. It seems a lot of folks on WFF head to MT (and ID for that matter) to fish. I'm not sure I'd be as interested in posting reports for the Blackfoot, Bitterroot, Beaverhead, Rock Creek, etc on the WFF general fishing board... don't you think you guys might get sick of posts that don't have direct bearing. It is a WASHINGTON board after all. I can, however, also see how it could become "too much", if WFF started trying to include out-of-state sub forums on a Washington site.
