Fished the Willamette above Corvallis today with the Dad-in-law. March Browns still out in force. Lots of Cutts and Bows up to 18",6 or 7 Largemouth, a few Smallmouth, and a Carp. 8hours, one river, 5 species. Normally a Trout and Steelhead only guy, but today has opened my narrow eyes. I am truly blessed to live in the Pacific NW. Within a 2 hour drive form Vancouver, it would take three lifetimes to explore and fish all the water available. As much as I get frustrated with the "system" and all the BS in this area of the world, It takes a day like today to remember why I love the PNW so much.

Next on the list...Take the spey rod out on the Columbia and swing for Steelhead and Coho while the old man hog lines for kings this fall.....and surley get laughed at all day.

Ok, posts like this will get your ass banned. What are you trying to do? Get the next California migration up here? Sheesh. Rookies. ;)

BTW, great report. LOL.
....right...uh...I meant Vancouver, Spain...
Oz, way to rock the species in Spain. Great report man. Next time I'm back in Spain I'm sure to pack for the multiple species available. Sounds like a great day on the water with your Dad.
When i lived in Eugene (17 years) We fished drifted and camped along the banks of the Willamette a LOT. It's a major river in that stretch, with little recreational pressure, back then anyway. Code name was "Big Willy"
