From time to time folks show pics of their setup, here's mine on my South Fork pontoon. I've had the boat for probably 15 years now, it's a great setup except I really can't take my dog.

I suspend it from the rafters of my garage using a harbor freight 110 v. winch and some rope. The oars and a milk carton hold my fins and pfd and stuff, so it' just lower and go, or hoist and store out of the way, easy.
is the underside, showing the lines for my anchor setup. I hooked pulleys to it and suspend a 4 lb. downrigger ball off about 10 inches of chain and rope wrapped around a stick. It holds quite nicely.
is the topside. I've scotty rodholders with the operational one to port, and one that holds my beer to starboard. Also to starboard is the fish finder, which is a Garmin echo 151. The watertight box holds the battery, liines leading out are sealed with silicone caulk. The two small lines to a 12 v. charger, so I don't need to unbox it for charging. White PVC arm holds the sounding unit, and it pivots 90 degrees to be either deployed or stowed for landing.k The other PVC tube holds the long line in case I move the unit to my 12' tin boat. All is mounted on 1/4 inch clear plexiglas I had hanging around, which secures to the boat with a single bolt. I unbolt it for transport and stow it inside out of harms way, and then mount it on the launch. It only takes a minute.
All in all, it's a workable system for me. Thanks to others for sharing their setups over time, which helped me put mine together.
