I got a few boxes of flies at a garage sale a while back, and while I've seen most of the patterns before, these are unfamiliar. Anyone recognize them? All are on stainless steel hooks, with either two or three loops of pearl tinsel on the back. Those tinsel loops are new to me. Whatever they are....they look tasty!

Somebodies day dream. When you tie flies you think by adding something sparkley that you have invented a new fly.

I tied up some flies with something I never used before. Lo and behold I found out it wasn't new after all. Found the picture in a fly book.

The saltwater hooks are the intriguing part for me. Where did the person you bought them from live? It could certainly just be what he/she had in that hook size, but maybe those are someone's super secret sea run trout flies. I bet an SRC would eat one of those, presented properly (not sure how that would be)....

I agree with Old Man, though. Probably someone's experiment.
