Fished the rod on a local beach for a few hours this morning. At first I tried it with one of Justin's WF 5 lines, which it did not like one bit. After that I threw a 6 wt Outbound which was much better, but I'm thinking perhaps just a tad much. I'm contemplating a 5 wt Outbound, or something similar. So many options! Anyhow, I had a few hits but did not get to feel a fish on the rod, which was a bummer. Over all though I really love it, and I think once I find the right line its going to be a dream to fish. Very light in the hand. Absolutely no fatigue from casting this rod. Its definitely the type of rod that sorta casts itself. When I'd try to force the issue too much it would start to get a little sassy, but when I just stepped back and let it do it's thing it was perfect. I love the EVA, feels great in the hand. I was sorta wondering if it would feel soft of squishy when it got wet, but not at all. Great stuff.
I'll give you more feedback once I find a line that I like on it. Hopefully I'll get to feel a fish on it soon. I have a feeling its going to be a blast for 12" cutties.
