I just stumbled across a fairly new fish porn publication, The Fly Fish Journal, based out of Bellingham and around for just over a year. The writing is pretty good, and the pictures are spectacular. I'm presently writing from Honolulu, here while my ship, the Matson containership S.S. Kauai, is doing its thing.

Anyway, I was over at Border's Books and noticed this fish porn rag I'd never seen before. I open it up, thumb through some pages and suddenly notice a familiar face: Justin Crump! He's holding up this flipping huge steelie for some hot looking chick. Very good form, Justin! And, sure enough, it's his story on the next page. Very well written, at that.

I wish The Fly Fish Journal and Crump all the best in the future. It's good to see such good product come out from some locals.

came across it too. nice pics good writing, but a $10 price tag is a bit much for a magazine. I will defiantly read it over coffee at Hastings though.

It's a small publication, and with anything in life you get what you pay for. I have no idea what you do to pay the bills, But I'm sorry that you have to live in a right to work state (99% sure you aren't getting paid what you should there, and thusly undervalue others efforts as well) and I'm also sorry that you see fit to enjoy the labors of others without supporting any of them.

That fish is 110% sick shit!

$10 is not that bad for a magazine. Usually it is cheaper if you subscribe. If there are a lot of ads, say like the magazine called Gourmet, it will be cheaper. But Gourmet has sooooo many pages of ads that it is a real turn off. I would rather have a magainze with great content and pay a little more then a magazine that is loaded with pages and pages of ads.
